“It’s pretty satisfying to take something that looks like it’s completely gone, or no hope for it, and completely restore it,” says owner J.R. Smith.

“This is a field that you really have to show some type of interest in it, or you’ll hate it,” Smith says. “To sand on a piece of furniture for eight hours, you’ve really got to have some kind of thought process on the end goal. And the satisfaction, once it’s finished, that you feel good about it. You look at it and you go, ‘Wow!’”
